Restaurant Style Salsa

This is the salsa I made at Candise's party.  I got it from the pioneer woman site.  It's addictive so be prepared.  Scrumpdidilyumpchus.  And it's so easy to make.

The list of things you will need are...

1 can whole tomatoes
2 cans Rotel (tomatoes and chilies)
1/4 cup of diced white onion
2-3 cloves of garlic
fresh jalapeno
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. sugar
lime
1/2 - 1 cup of cilantro
1/4 tsp. cumin (oops, not shown)
*blender or food processor

Let's start with dicing our onion.  You will only need 1/4 of a cup.

Into the blender we will put our can of whole tomatoes.

Now we will add 2 cans of Rotel.

Throw in 1/4 cup of diced onion.

Slice and dice the garlic cloves.

Throw them in the blender.

Cut up the jalapeno.

Throw those bad boys in.

Add 1/4 tsp. salt.

Then 1/4 tsp. of sugar.

Umm, I guess I should explain this next picture so you don't get confused.  When I was making my salsa this time I forgot to add the cumin before I blended the salsa.  Now, it doesn't really matter but, for the sake of keeping with how it was supposed to be done please pretend as if I haven't blended yet...okay?  Whew, thanks!

Then 1/4 tsp. ground cumin.

Roll your lime on a hard surface with the palm of your hand to get the juices loose and then squeeze 1/2 of the lime into the salsa.  If your lime is small you may need to squeeze the whole lime.  I would try 1/2 and after you blend it, if it needs more, add it then.

Next, add 1/2 to 1 cup of cilantro (I used 1 cup).

I love my blender.  It was another wonderful gift from my mom.  It has a pulse mode which works perfectly for this salsa.  I put it on pulse and then push chop about 3-4 times.  If your blender doesn't have this button just blend for 20-30 seconds or until blended.

Get a chip and taste to see if you would like to add a little more of any of the before mentioned ingredients.

Enjoy!!!
